First time I have seen such a case, where a man from California filed a lawsuit against Apple claiming that company had done its upgrade to iOS 7 without any permission in its family’s iDevice.
Mark Menacher is the man, filed the complained in Supreme court of California in San Diego on Thursday and said “removal of iOS7 downloads from his family’s iDevices and reimbursement of ancillary costs totaling $50.”
“Apple’s disregard for customer preferences in relation to iOS7 is corporate thuggery,” Menacher said. “Steve Jobs was reportedly rough on company employees in pursuit of happy customers, but Tim Cook apparently cultivates a culture of contempt for customer satisfaction in pursuit of corporate profits. It is a policy that will eventually fail.”
Menacher mainly focused on undesired software downloads to several iDevices, and said it as fraud, trespass, and theft. However, the trial date is set by the court for Jan. 28, 2014.
