Xbox Live Family Gold Pack Crushes Hearts

The Laughter? The Cheers? All that used to fill up our living room will now be crushed by this crucial move made by Microsoft. Yes, a heart breaking news – Microsoft has now stopped providing it’s Xbox Live Family Gold Pack service for the family that used to laugh together, play games together, specifically on Xbox.

Xbox Live is the online service for Xbox 360 and a whole lot more. It boosts up your TV into a connected entertainment experience. The Xbox Live Family Gold Pack service was discontinued in the silence of last night. The pack was not only available at a cheaper price but was also perfect for parents who have too much concerns about their children. The pack provided parents with the facility of parental control which locks the unrated and mature content. Moreover when it used to come to family hanging out together the pack was a helping hand as it used to provide amazing family games that the family can enjoy together. But now it is all going to get expensive and families will have to think twice before playing multiplayer games. You will now have to pay around $160 – $240 a year which was previously $100 a year for the same features. It is not clear why Microsoft has taken this step. It might not deprive of buyers from buying Xbox consoles but it will surely affect it’s sales.

As Sony has announced it’s PlayStation 4 and if they offer free games and services several gamers will opt for PlayStation. Though Microsoft does provide best in class online gaming experience but if it does provide more features for it’s upcoming new generation consoles online services, people wouldn’t mind spending more money.
