Believe it or not, some iPhone users really did fall for the fake Apple Ad that said iOS 7 will make your phone waterproof.
The Ad states: “Update to IOS 7 and become waterproof.” And it continues with, “In an emergency, a smart-switch will shut off the phone’s power supply and corresponding components to prevent any damage to your iPhone’s delicate circuitry.” That’s followed by an explanation of what iOS is.
Users of course used Twitter as a platform to express their anger. One of the Tweets said, “Whoever said ios7 was waterproof f*** you” while another said “wft #iOS7 isn’t waterproof!!! now my phones at the bottom of the river.” Check out the Fake Ad below:
