Sony Has No Intentions To Switchover From PlayStation 3 To PlayStation 4

The president of Sony Japan, Hiroshi Kawano gave a statement that he does not expect the gamers to switchover from PS3 to PS4. He does not want it happen immediately and is only because the holder of the platform is having a new console out of it. Kawano has also said that Sony has no intention of abandoning PlayStation 3. This announcement was made in the Famitsu interview that has been translated by the Kotaku. The PlayStation 3 has been there since seven years from the time it has been released.

In spite of being in a continuous stay, it has been selling the products in a consistent pace. Besides, this big achievement it is also having numerous upcoming titles. This is the reason why the company does not have any intention to shift immediately starting from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4. Kawano has certain hopes with the gamers that they will be going for a rapid transition. However, The President is not demanding the gamers to go for it. It is expected to happen when the cloud service of the gaming console will be launched in 2014.

The cloud service will be launched in United States of America. Users will be getting an option to play the games of PlayStation 3 on PlayStation 4. This will be encouraging the gamers to switch over from one console to the other. In spite of this, it is expected to be a gradual procedure. PlayStation 4 is expected to be in the hands of the gamers by the end of the year 2013. The ego of the maker will be saying that the new console has been released and they will be trading onto the older one.

PS3 is considered to be a viable console. The price of PlayStation 4 is quoted as $549 which is lower than the price of PlayStation when it has been launched. It is still not possible to make such a quick investment. It is not any strategy for the company but it has an example for it. PlayStation 2 continued with its existence even when PlayStation 3 was launched.
