The unexpected move taken by Sony on cutting down on a cool feature in its upcoming PS4 console that PS3 acquired, has landed in as a surprise to all.
PS3 which acted more than a gaming console to the users, was more of an entertainment hub to them. Movies, music, what not could you get on that device. The PS3 Media Server was helpful in garnering a lot of praise for PS3.
But unfortunately in a move targeted to push people to use its own online store, Sony has cut the DLNA support (media server compatibility) from the upcoming PS4, leaving many upset over the decision.
After huge number of complaints by PlayStation boss Shuehei Yoshida took onto Twitter to generate some hope for the people. He tweeted, “Thanks for the feedback to the lack of MP3 and DLNA support at the launch of PS4. I’ll share with the PS4 Dev team for future consideration.”
