The well known animator Ron Husband is getting ready to direct his first animated feature film with his son Jai Anthony Lewis-Husband. The pre-production meeting between the two is already over.
Ron Husband started off his tryst with films in 1975 and his connection with Walt Disney was for almost four decades now. Considered a legend in the animation world, Ron was the first black animator for Walt Disney and has a long list of films in his kitty. Fox and Hound, The Little Mermaid, Rescuers, Great Mouse Detective, Pete’s Dragon, Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Oliver and Co., Hercules etc are to name a few from the endless list.
Now, Ron has called it a day with Walt Disney but with all his expertise, he is all set to direct his animated feature film. His son, Jai Anthony is excited about this father-son venture and is eagerly waiting to work with his father. Meanwhile Ron is also getting ready to release his book-Quick Sketching with Ron Husband published by Focal Press.
