PlayStation App Delayed By A Week In Europe

The PS4 companion app, while initially due today in Europe, has been pushed back to November 29 – the day of the PS4 launch. Sony required the additional time to create “some final tweaks to make sure the expertise is butter-smooth for you prior to the PS4 launch next Fri,” the company proclaimed on the PlayStation blog.

The free app, compatible with both iOS and android devices, integrates with the PS4 by permitting users to browse their friends lists, Trophies, the PSN store and unlock bound second-screen experiences – like additional in-game content or different management choices. The app went live in the U.S. two days before the PS4.
