According to the tweets of Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios at Sony, the PS4’s DualShock 4 controllers will definitely work with Windows PC.
However, the controllers special functions like the front-facing touchpad and gyroscope will not work but the basic function like buttons and analog sticks will be available without extra drivers. Earlier, in the PS3’s DualShock 3 controller it was necessary to install third party drivers like Better DS3 to make it compatible.
With the launch of PS4 set, DS4 controller will become the first next-gen controller compatible with the PC, probably in November. Microsoft has already revealed that the Xbox One controller won’t be ready for the PC until 2014.
