Apple never lets the world to remain static. It constantly releases new products or improved versions of their previous ones. The latest rumor associated with Apple is their production and release of iPhone 5S. The type of processor used by Apple for their next Smartphone is leaving the Gadget lovers in a muddle.
Clayton Morris, the television anchor has reported on his Twitter account that the new iPhone would have an A7 chip which runs 31% quicker than the one in the iPhone 5. Apple is also testing 64-bit A7 processors in some of the prototypes of iPhone 5S.
The 64-bit processor could possibly help the phone to handle better graphical animations and has good chances of providing a better performance/watt ratio. Having seen many of the advantages of the 64-bit processor, Chrish Humphreys believes that the higher performance per watt is the most important one of them.
One should also remember that the rumours need not necessarily materialize into actual happenings. For all you know, there are chances that it won’t be released this year at all. As per discussions on Twitter, a 20 nm 64-bit a8 is likely to arrive in 2014. Christian Ziberg(@dujkan) confirms the news on twitter, with much delight to millions of Apple fans.
If the rumours are to believed and if at all they materialize, it would be a huge competition to other high-end Smartphone companies like Samsung, HTC and LG. A phone that benchmarks 31% quicker than the iPhone 5should be good enough to compete with the other smart-phone manufacturing giants. The specifications of the new iPhone haven’t been released yet.
Currently, the fact that an Apple Product might actually compete with the other brands like Samsung and HTC, in a market like India, is good news to a lot of people who vouch for the growth of Apple.
