iPhone 5S To Have Champagne Colour Option

MG Siegler has reported in his column on Tech Crunch that Apple is planning to add a ‘Gold’ color option in the iPhone 5S. This news was based on the leaked photos which appeared last week.

After several weeks of rumours and speculations, Multiple sources are claiming that, “Surely, There will be a Gold iPhone”. It is difficult to believe that, Apple will go off-track and leave behind the line of simplicity by leaving standard colours, white and black for their Flagship device.

As the reports confirmed that there will be Gold colour option for the iPhone, it certainly seems to be a little tacky and gaudy. Siegler says that, the rear Gold shell that showed up in photos last week is said to be a somewhat inaccurate representation of the device’s actual color, indicating that it will be “less ‘gold’ and more ‘champagne’.”

After Apple’s news about launching golden coloured iPhone option, Siegler points out that, it could actually be a strategy to up-sell customers in emerging markets where the lower-cost “iPhone 5C” is expected to be a significant player.

Many people feel that the golden iPhone will be a hit in the Indian and Chinese markets as the colour is pretty popular in these countries. This seems to be a reason behind iPhone 5C to be a hit in these markets. Initially it was a thought that, the low-cost iPhone will completely replace the high cost one in the markets but still, the gold option will be enticing enough to certain buyers to attract them to higher model.

A Japanese Blog, Mac Otakara also reported that the ‘iPhone 5S would come in a gold color as well’, while he was sharing additional information about the device. September 10 is going to be a big day for Apple inc., although its still unstated as to whether, the event will focus on the iPhone 5S or include the announcement of the lower-cost iPhone as well.
