Here is news that would bring much delight to Harry Potter fans! Harry Potter is returning to the big screen through a new movie, written by J.K. Rowling herself. The movie would be set 70 years before the events of Harry Potter. The movie is expected to follow the adventures of Newt Scamander. Potterheads would be familiar with the term: – ‘Scamanders’. But, for those who are still wondering what it means, he was the author of a textbook called ‘Fantastic beasts’ and ‘Where to Find them’ which Harry was supposed to buy. The book’s title is the name for the upcoming movie as well. The new film was announced by Warner Bros, and had also released a statement that this would be a first in an entirely new series. This movie would have a few familiar characters and creatures as well.

“Revisiting the wizard world is the only one which strikes my head when I thinking about writing a book. I have always said that. I think this is it- Scamander.” said J.K. Rowling. The story would begin in New York, instead of London. However, Rowling clarifies that all the laws relating to the magical societies would be familiar. It is imperative to remember that this is the first movie which would be produced from a screenplay written by Rowling herself. The original ‘Harry Potter’ series was adapted from her book and she had no contribution to the movie, otherwise. Watching Daniel Radcliffe in a new series would not appeal to some of the fans. At the same time, it is difficult to imagine him in a different character and a different role.

She feels that the characters would never outgrow their characters. She maintains that Harry Potter is not a series. It is a saga. The trailer of the movie has been received well by the critics and viewers, alike.
