Apple’s iOS Engineering Vice President, Henri Lamiraux, Retires

As it was earlier decided by Henri Lamiraux, an executive in Apple’s iOS team that iOS 7 would be his last project with his team. He announced his retirement voluntarily, not because he got fired or iOS 7 made people some people quesy or any other reason.

“Sources within Apple’s iOS division say Lamiraux is respected and he was in charge of developing the applications that come with iOS. The executive also led feature-implementation across the operating system, and he managed both bug-fixing processes and feature distribution to consumers. He also managed the frameworks within the operating system that power features and allow developers to build applications,” Gurman wrote.

Henri Lamiraux, worked at different post in company, as he started with a Mac software engineer, and recently he worked as senior Vice President of software engineering Craig Federighi. However, its currently unclear that who will able to fill this place and what be the effect on the future projects, meanwhile iOS 8.
