Apple has concurred to grant full refunds to customers in a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission. Apple is paying a minimum of $32.5 million over complaints from customers that incurred charges when kids would pay cash on in-app purchases without their parent’s consent.
Furthermore, Apple will be needed to change how they are doing their charge method to stop youngsters from accidentally spending money on in-game content. The FTC notes that they received tens of thousands of complaints relating to this.
Meanwhile, Apple business executive Tim Cook addressed Apple workers relating to the situation and why they settled with the FTC.
