It is the same old story where the parents complaint about their kids usage of iPhone which accidentally leads to the purchase of in-app junk.
There was an increase in the complaints and Apple, finally decided to have a settlement with this, in February. The settlement is now live through a website, which was launched by Apple, where parents can either opt for iTunes credit or for the amount by cash if its $30.
Apple hands over the money only if parents prove that their kids bought the apps without their knowledge and if the games are listed as qualified apps. The list seems to cover Smurf’s Village and Angry Birds.
