According to the reports, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh have made a rule that Apple, Google and several other large tech companies will face a trial over “no solicitation” agreements, which will prevent companies to hire each other employees.
“The court finds that, based on the extensive documentary evidence, economic theory, data, and expert statistical modeling, plaintiffs’ methodology demonstrates that common issues are likely to predominate over individual issues,” Koh wrote in her ruling.
Earlier, according to the lawsuit filed in 2011, the “no solicitation” agreements were between companies- Apple, Adobe, Google, Intel, Intuit, Lucasfilm, and Pixar, as this agreement prevents employees to contact other companies for jobs. The current lawsuit is among 64,000 technological personnel who said they have been harmed by the anti-competitive actions of the defendant organizations.
