With Wake, Rise and Suno like third party apps on the App Store, a new alarm clock app for iPhone has stepped into the competition named as ‘Carrot’. Most of the users are already accustomed with these apps, the Carrot alarm app claims to be a unique application.
Carrot has previously launched its to-do list application and received a good response and now the same makers have come up with an alarm app named Carrot’s Alarm’s Ultimate, which they claim, would actually help the user to wake up and get off the bed.
It comes with a Tag line saying “Whatever you do, don’t hit the snooze button” which analyst claim would attract consumers. It has a kind of sense of humour which is really amusing, although it may not seem like that when one is rubbing his/her eyes after 6 hours of slumber or if one taps the wrong part of screen; it won’t be slow to tell him/her so.
One has to swipe up to wake up and swipe down to snooze. During the initial stage of tutorial the Carrot Alarm displays the following message in the image below when a user attempts to snooze. But when the user really snoozes the alarm the app displays several mini games and tasks such as disposing dead bodies which actually means shaking your device.
The UI of this application is also very simple and easy to use. One can change the snooze duration and any other additional settings in the settings menu. One must leave the app face down at night and await Carrot’s voice or music based alarm tone in the morning. If he/she chooses to wake up they are in a better company. But if they don’t, Carrot will threaten the life of a small kitten. And this is No joke.
Most interesting feature is that the user can claim awards and level up ,unlock upgrades, fresh tunes and bedtime stories. Even then, at present the Carrot Alarm is available to download for $0.99.
