Frank Lampard will lead England to next year’s finals in Brazil, is what World Cup winner Zidane feels about the Chelsea midfielder.
The Three Lions would be playing against Ukraine on Tuesday in Kiev. A victory would promise them a chance to take stranglehold on Group H in the European Qualifying and a loss would lead Ukraine over at the top, with just two more games to go.
But following Zidane’s prediction, with Lampard, many believe that The Three Lions would soon be booking their tickets for Brazil in no time at all.
With an interview in the BBC’s Match of the Day Kickabout, Zidane quoted, “England are going to be there but it’s going to be complicated. I am sure they are going to make a great World Cup because they have a strong team and I am sure they are going to do something interesting, but it is going to be tough in Brazil. Every team has a chance when they are in the final round and England is one of them. England is a great team as a whole. The one that is standing out and is really a leader is Lampard.”
