World’s Worst Director, Uwe Boll To Begin With Snowden-Inspired Comedy

Being called as the world’s worst director, and a veritable Ed Wood for the 21st century; the German Director, Uwe Boll is hoping to pick up the layer ‘King of Kickstarter’ after talking to the popular crowd funding site in the optimism of raising $500,000 for his new movie which is claimed to be a political comedy inspired in part by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

Previously in 2009, Boll has received a lifetime Razzie award for his services to dreadful film-making, yet he is hoping fans will cash in for a sequel to Postal which was a video game movie adaptation that released in 2007 to universal mockery.

Reports claim, he posted on the Kickstarter that, Postal 2 will be a contentious comedy in which that will address the current political issues. It will take the biggest scandals of country’s democracy, like the happenings about Edward Snowden and Julien Assange (sic) and depict that there is no difference between country’s democracy and the prison camps in Russia or China.

The film plans to show that through this massive monitoring, the communication data would not be safe anymore and the people behind the movie plan to make it totally uncensored, pointed against everything and everybody, against every political party and every religion without any exceptions. He claims that, this movie is important and nobody besides he himself has got the balls to make it.

The film-maker has been the man behind deplorable titles as Far Cry, Blood Rayne, Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead and Dungeon Siege and has given himself two months to reach the total and he has so far raised £7,887 from 178 backers.

Reports from an exclusive newsletter claim that, rewards for those willing to stump up $5 will get an executive producer’s credit and $10,000 for full access to the film shoot in Vancouver. If everything falls into place, Boll will film in spring 2014 for a release in August.

Just like Scrubs star Zach Braff, Spike Lee and the makers of the cancelled US TV show Veronica Mars who have launched successful Kickstarter campaigns for crowd-funded movies, Boll is giving this process a try.
