Ubisoft is all set to suspend its Uplay passport feature after severe criticism from players. With this decision, all online features behind a single use code will be locked for future titles. The Passport is also to be modified for the recently released Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and this will now allow all the players to download a Passport code free of charge.
“The Uplay Passport program was initiated as a means of giving customers full access and support for online multiplayer and features, along with exclusive content, bonuses and rewards,” Ubisoft stated in a company blog post. “However, we recognized that Passport is no longer the best approach for ensuring that all our customers have the best possible experience with all facets of our games.”
