Ubisoft Releases Sales Figures – Digital Sales Are Up 27 Percent, With A 56 Percent Increase In Others

Ubisoft has released astonishing sales figures for the fiscal quarter ending on 30 June and showed that sales of the quarter of 2013-2014 were €76 million compared to €131 million in the same period for 2012-13 which shows a 42.2 percent drop.

But looking at the given picture , the target for first quarter sales was €70 million which was not less.

Moreover sales included a 56 percent increase in back-catalog games like –

  • Far Cry 3
  • Assassin’s Creed 3
  • Just Dance 4
  • Rocksmith
  • Rayman Origins

All of them totaled to give about €60 million and a 27 % increase in digital sales. Also Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez Gunslinger, which amounted to €34 million.

In a recent interview CEO Yves Guillemot mentioned that Ubisoft’s teams once again did a superb job and performed quite great at this year’s E3 in a very competitive and dynamic environment.

Giving more details on the topic he said that the event was an opportunity to fully confirm the potential of the next-generation consoles whose launch in late 2013.

However, its second quarter sales will be approximately €200 million, which will show a 35% increase compared to the same period in 2012 to 2013.
