Provisions for security features are slowly showing up in more and more corporations. Linkedin has now started the option for two step authentication. On switching on this feature, logging in from an unrecognized device would require the user to provide a security code delivered to them via SMS.
This development is not any noteworthy or original given the fact that most of the popular companies like Dropbox, Facebook, Google, etc. have been providing this facility for a long time. Nevertheless, its effectiveness to prevent account-hacking cannot be questioned and that’s what is important for the 225+ million users on Linkedin.
