John Hillcoat isn’t finding a lot of luck in looking for an actor to star in his crime thriller, Triple nine. He lost Shia Labeouf recently in his pursuit of an actor. He did interest Charlie Hunman earlier this year, but nothing has materialized so far. However, there is a silver lining in his pursuit. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casey Affleck and Michael B. Jordan are negotiating with the director.
The synopsis of the story essentially about a group of dacoits who plan to murder a young L.A. Police. They intend to make it a distraction from other criminal deeds which others in their group are planning to do.
If everything goes as per plan, Affleck would play the officer, while Jordan would be the streetsmart cop who makes a deal with Ejiofor’s master thief and intend to kill Affleck’s character.
Hillcoat’s script from Matt Cook.Leading actors like Cate Blanchett and Christoph Waltz are the ones who are likely to star in the movie if everything works as per plan.
Hillcoat wants the production and the filming of the movie to start by 2014. The three actors would be excellent additions to the team as they are becoming popular on the awards scene after having won a few of them in 12 Years A Slave, Out Of The Furnace and Fruitvale Station respectively.
