The Line service which is available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone etc has hit a rocket size number of 150 million with its gaming provider.
Line is making new records – the celebration of having 100 million apps download was not even over when it when the reason for another celebration has begun with just just a blink of eye.
Line Game allows iOS and Android users to play games with their friends via the Line app. Once both parties have downloaded a specific title they both load the game and are ready to use it.
The game platform was launched by Line in July 12 and out of 33 total games there are two – Line Pop and Line Wind which have impressed the users the most. This can be proven by the fact that both the games have made a handsome number of of 30 million and 10 million of downloads.
The idea of the company to make a good profit with its gaming virtue is to provide a range of in-app purchases, and tying the titles in to its mobile messaging service. However Line is always known to experiment and always impresses the users with its new ideas an example of it can be provided by the fact that it still continues to experiment with new business models. Businesses and developers can pay to list their apps in the store, while others can download apps to get free virtual coins.
Japan-based Line was the first messenger to introduce games however it has faced competition from US based chat service ‘tango’ and Korea based ‘kakao talk.’
Based in Japan the company is looking forward to increase its market by targeting Europe , China and Latin America and have already begun work by adding support for German, Italian and Portuguese to its iOS app.
