Arsenal moved four points clear at the top of the table by convincingly defeating Cardiff City 3-0.
The 23-year old North London goalkeeper believes that if the team can continue their current form for a few more months, he is confident that Arsenal would clinch the title. He also admitted that there is still a long road ahead for the Gunners.
“We were discussing yesterday that Manchester United and Manchester City dropped points at Cardiff and that it would send a strong message to them if we won”, Szczesny said.
“We would like to be at the top of the table as long as possible. But, it really doesn’t matter where we are in the table now. It only matters in May. We have a lot of work to do, many tough games to be won. There is no point in putting pressure on ourselves. We will bring the best out of each one of us by enjoying the game”, he added.
“Our focus is on the next game against Hull and to keep winning. If we do that, we will get the right result and will be putting ourselves in a comfortable position in the league table. It is good to have a slight cushion at the table. We must play professionally and beat times like Hull.”
“I don’t want to talk about the title challenge. If we get three points against them, then you guys( the media) can talk about the title challenge. We simply want to focus on the next game”, he said.
