State Of Decay – One Of The Fastest Selling Games On XBLA

One of the fastest selling games on XBLA as an original game is the ‘State of Decay’. Jeff Strain, the head of Undead Labs spoke about his days while he was talking to Polygon. Those days were basically when he had been working at Arena Net on Guild Wars. This discussion took place during lunch time when the colleagues had sold an idea for the MMO style of the zombie survival of the game.

It’s not something that would be taken by the company at a particular time. This has been noted by Strain. The group was formed on their own self that was an independent studio. It was the “around the idea of Decay”. Strain and his company are still regretting on a particular decision. That regretful decision was to have a cut on the cooperative multiplayer. Other than this the team also seems to deliver its intent while a game was made by them. This game was primarily focused on “the ways of surviving, to manage with the resources and also to have an interaction with survivors”.

The decision made was opposed to the action of the zombie shooter. The espousal of the working relation was taken positively with Microsoft. This was all the more surprising for the company. This was contradictory to examples that have been given to the independent developer of horror stories. They have been working along with the company. One such example is fez 2b that is a surprising announcement that has been made by E3. When it was spoken about in Polygon, it was revealed that it might be called home.

Microsoft was receptive to the varying ideas for releasing the game. This game was supposed to be released on Steam. Stain kept himself absolutely clear in the entire statement. He said that there will be a clear sequel that was related to the state of decay. It is expected to be on Xbox One. The team will be purely focusing on the pure survival of the sandbox Mode. This will be happening for a particular time.
