The recent large scale DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack on Spamhaus wasn’t as devastating and potentially “Internet Crippling” like it was thought to be.
According to Keynote Systems which does the global monitoring of websites for performance the media reports that showed that DDoS attack last week caused a global showdown on the Internet was simply wrong.
The large number of websites that Keynote monitors did not show any changes in performance that were extraordinary, according to senior market manager, Aaron Rudger.
Keynote closely compared the web performance of the US to Europe to find any evidence that could support these Internet slowdown reports all over the world.
