Last week, Sony has promised a fixed version 4.46 to download, after the knocking down of some PlayStation 3 by 4.45 firmware update. Mean while certain steps has been posted in the support sites for the users who installed 4.45 and failed to reboot. Moreover, a post was dedicated for users that successfully installed 4.45 and later complained of NAT and “IP fragment issues”. The frozen console owners requires a USB memory stick with at least 168 MB of space, although certain older models can also use SD, Memory Stick or Compact Flash cards. No exact word is there for what has went wrong, but for instructions on how to configure the flash storage and reboot into safe mode, one can look into their support sites.
