Sony Might Make A Movie On SEGA Vs Nintendo Console Wars

Console Wars, a book by Blake Harris that focuses on SEGA’s challenge to Nintendo through the early 90s with the SEGA Mega Drive is due in May this year. But a film based on this book is seemingly in the works. Atlantic Books, who have acquired the rights for the book in the UK, disclosed the news via a press release.

Sony pictures and Scott Rudin, Moneyball and The Social Network fame are developing Console Wars as a movie to be directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Superbad fame. Seth and Evan are apparently writing the script while Harris is serving as executive Producer, and is also co-directing a documentary on the same subject, with Rudin.

Well, whatever may be going on, but if the idea really comes into effect, this could be really interesting. This console war will really be a movie gamers would love to watch. It means all in all it could be a good Hollywood movie.
