Snapchat Usernames And Phone Numbers Leaked

Hackers took advantage of the previous Snapchat issue and leaked 4.6 million Snapchat accounts usernames and phone numbers. Last night visitors were enabled for downloading the database of Snapchat user info, as the site became live (SnapchatDB.info) but the last two digits of the phone numbers were censored I guess to decrease the spam.

The cached version is still available, however the site had been pulled offline, as told by SnapchatDB to the verge. “You are downloading 4.6 million users’ phone number information, along with their usernames,” those behind SnapchatDB.info wrote. It was also mentioned there that the users generally use the same username in the other social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook through which you can get phone number information associated with that account.

The users who want to know whether their data is leaked, can go to a lookup tool posted by Gibson; type the username in it and know if it was leaked online.

According to the Reddit post, they also have the details of area codes involved in the data leaks. Currently in the database area codes for 21 states which do not appear in the database are- Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
