Skype‘s new update, version 3.0 which has just released on iTunes Appstore will now allow users of iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G to make two way Skype video calls. Unfortunately, the users of iPod Touch 3G and the iPad will not be able to use this facility as these devices don’t have a camera.
The most amazing feature about this version of Skype is that it also works via 3G services unlike the Facetime which only works via WiFi.
This new version of Skype also allows video chatting with it’s desktop applications. Skype 3.0 for iOS allows to video chat in both portrait and landscape mode.
This is a really good feature for Skype to overcome collapse of it’s network. According to Skype, it was due to overloaded servers that sent out delayed messages which were improperly sent due to a bug in the older version of Skype for Windows.
