On Thursday, Samsung announced the new Ativ Q Laptop-tablet hybrid which runs on both Windows 8 and Android, though Windows 8 and Jelly Bean make strange pairs. Samsung thinks that the users require a pathway out of windows to a more mobile centric world and it lead to this new innovation. Though HP has done with its Slate Book x2 laptop hybrid with only Android, Samsung easily toggles between the two OS. This is not phones or stand alone tablets, but capable laptops which can run android.
“The users can toggle easily between the OS without restarting the system but with a simple task of hitting a tile on the Windows 8 desktop,” concludes CNET.
Windows 8 and Android also share file folders, so, for example, anything you save in your Android gallery will be available in your Windows. HP’s Slate book x2 is completely a tablet, notebook and android, with no windows 8. But, Samsung has all the four in it.
Samsung has offered the boldest design for this new device aside from its shape-shifting capabilities, the 13-inch machine boasts a 3200×1800-pixel resolution display, topping anything out there to date, and packs Intel’s newest Haswell processor.
People who spend more time in mobile OS like Android than Windows can put Android on a workaday laptop to make the things work better.
