Sam Raimi Restarts The Grudge Saga

Asian Horror Cinema got pretty popular a few years back, with movies like The Grudge (and it’s sequels). Quite a few movies were snatched up for remakes, in which the most popular ones were The Ring and The Grudge. And Hollywood is planning to fill their pockets with few more bucks with the latter.

Sam Raimi, who’d known for recently producing the disappointing redo of “Evil Dead,” is the man behind Ghost House Productions, and who will also be teaming with Good Universe to remake “The Grudge”, while Jeff Buhler is the man behind the script. The previous edition of the movie was based on Takashi Shimizu’s own “Ju-On,” which dropped in 2002. The Hollywood version bought in two more sequels, while the Japanese original had three sequels.
