Liverpool is looking for a smart move in the January Transfer window. Basel winger, Mohamed Salah is being looked at closely by Liverpool scouts.
The 21-year old winger has been attracting a lot of attention by top clubs after his efforts in the Champions League.
Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool manager is looking to strengthen his squad when the transfer window opens next month. Salah is reportedly one of his primary targets. He had earlier been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham in the past few months. Basel is looking to sell him for approximately 15 million pounds.
The 21-year-old has attracted attention across Europe after impressing for his club in the Champions League.
Mohamed Zika, former teammate of Salah at Al Mokawloon( Egyptian Club) believes that he would most likely make his move to Liverpool this transfer window. “I am pretty sure that it would happen ( his move to Liverpool). He is my friend and I am very happy for him”, he said.
He scored the crucial equalizer against Chelsea in the Champions League game which earned the team a 2-1 victory against the former champions. He also scored the solitary goal in a recent champions league match against Chelsea in the 1-0 victory against the Blues.
Despite his efforts, the Swiss champions were unable to make it to the knockout stages and dropped to the Europa League. They would be playing Maccabi Tev over two legs in the month of February.
