With the start of the year, Sega released a pleasant surprise for fans on their Twitter page. Sonic & All-Stars Racing:Transformed is chock packed with references and fan service, and currently we are able to expect the come back of Shenmue’s Ryo Hazuki in their much-loved racing title. Though Ryo was a playable character within the previous All-Stars racing game, he was perceptibly absent for the sequel. Now, when weeks of rumors and a few leaks, Sega has finally released some official pictures for his come back. Surprisingly, Ryo has ditched his reliable self-propelled vehicle for a vehicle that transforms into varied references to classic Sega arcade titles. While there is still no date announced for when he’ll be available, it’s possible that we’ll see an announcement very soon.
