Ridley Scott is going to be executively producing a Halo ‘digital feature project’ together with 343 Industries and Xbox Entertainment Studios, according to a report.
The project is produced by Scott and the president of Scott Free TV, David Zucker and is slated to release this year. Battlestar Galactica director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan will be directing it.
This project is likely going to follow the format of the Forward unto Dawn series, is not in any way related to the Steven Spielberg project which was declared at E3 2013 and is not going to feature Master Chief as the lead protagonist.
The Spielberg-produced series will be directed by Neil Blomkamp (District 9 fame), who has antecedently worked on a series of promotional live-action shorts for the Halo series, and was poised to direct a movie adaptation at one stage.
When the Speilberg project was declared the legendary director aforementioned he was “incredibly excited” to be involved in a project where “technology and myth-making meet”.
