A recently launched update for the Xbox One Call of Duty: Ghosts has reportedly introduced performance problems that weren’t previously there in the game.
The update was designed to organize the game for the Onslaught DLC, as well as adding bug fixes, new options and balance tweaks to the game’s multiplayer modes. However, according to reports from a leading website from players who had downloaded the update suggested that the game was working poorer than before the update.
In particular, the Stone-haven stage was singled out as a significant wrongdoer, with explosions and other effects slowing up the game’s frame rate.
The website had all the details about the problem that had affected the game play.
“While the game does indeed hit 60fps in [the Stone haven] stage, frame-rates are dramatically compact once the whole level is the game, with metrics varying between 46-60fps as we encounter the landscape,” the website claims.
It further clarified, “As frame-rates fall below the specified 60fps target, we also see the looks of some screen-tear, adding some judder, making drops in smoothness more noticeable.”
The reports also suggest that performance drops are far less severe on other stages, and that the PS4 version remains the same as it was at the time of launch.
