The PlayStation Store went offline in South Korea in July 2012, and it’s finally going to come back online on May 16.
The PlayStation Store was taken down because of a particular law in South Korea, which does not allow (online) services to ask individuals under-eighteen, their names or ages. Therefore, Sony took down the PlayStation Store in that region so that a few changes could be made and now, after almost ten months, the Store is set to come back with a new restriction: Minors are no longer allowed to use the online services, only those who are eighteen or above can, and credit cards will be used to verify users’ ages.
