For online and multi-player gaming on the PlayStation 4, users will need a PlayStation Plus membership, as confirmed by Sony at the E3. As soon as the console is launched, all PlayStation Plus members will get free access to Drive Club.
But Sony has assured everyone that users can play single-player games and use all other media services without a PlayStation Plus membership. PlayStation Plus members will also enjoy privileges on other Sony devices like the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, not just on PlayStation 4. Along with online play, the Instant Game Collection feature is also included in the PlayStation 4 package. The games announced by Sony at the E3 are: Outlast, Don’t Starve and Secret Ponchos. You won’t even have to pay extra for these games through the Instant Game Collection feature, at least for the first year after the console’s launch.
PlayStation Plus Membership Costs are as follows:
-One-year membership: $49.99
-Three-month membership: $17.99
-One-month membership: $9.99
