Ouya Gamers On Free Content Spree

Sold out on launch and 30 days spent in the market, the new Gaming Console Ouya is showing positive results on the sales figures, not as far as Sale of Games and Premium content for the device are to be seen, things are not pretty good. With almost 73 percent of Users opting for only free-to-play and demo stuff.

CEO Julie Uhrman, in a public statement mentioned that 27 percent of Ouya owners have opted for purchasing content, which she believes is a positive figure for a new kid on block with a unique and new to Gaming platform concept – The Android Gaming Consoles. Figures say that marketplace’s top 13 selling games have an average of 8 per cent of users spending on the full title, which she feels is a quite a good opportunity for social and mobile app developers to stick to and the figures will improve as platform gets old and attracts more developers and users.

The bestselling title on Ouya has been TowerFall making its developer Matt Thorson richer by $21,000 which is available for a price of $14.99.
