New York Times App For Google Glass

After the revelation in the last week by the executive chairman, Eric Schmidt that the Google Specs are expected to hit the shelves within a year, now there is more good news for the Google Glass owners- to- be. The New York Times app has to work on those special specs. So now with those augmented reality glasses you can stay connected with the each and every news from The New York Times app, throughout the day.

The official New York Times app will prompt the users with breaking news alerts, and will also keep updated with hourly news updates. So, now you will never miss important news with the Google reality specs. The app will also provide the option to read aloud the article summaries of the news. So, now you also have a personal news reader who will keep you updated about every minute even when you are on go. To start with the app, users will need to give the application some permission to use information from their Google account. The application will collect information about the account, and also about the present location of the user. It will also view and manage the Google Glass timeline for the user, once the permission has been granted.

For the ones catching up late, Google Glass is an Eyewear that claims to be the most hi-tech device of the era. It comes with a display, a powerful camera, and is capable to work under voice commands from the user. The Explorer version of this device has already been distributed within the developers and the testing phase is going in full swing in the house of the web giant. With the explorer version the detailed spec sheet of the device has also come in light. It will be armed with bone conduction transducer that will eliminate the need of using those irritating headphones.

In the API document Google has also mentioned that the applications developed for the device should not pop up with frequent advertisements, and they should be programmed in a way so that they support a full day wearing.
