‘The New Public’ Receiving Positive Reviews From Most Of The Critics

All the U.S and Canadian rights have been acquired by Kino Lorber to Jyllian Gunther’s documentary, “The New Public”. The film explores the challenges faced by teachers worldwide. The film was premiered at the Hamptons Film Festival in 2012. “The New York Times” also printed an article about the film in its Op-Ed page.

Kino Lorber wants to release his film as soon as possible to the educational market via his Kino Lorber Edu division.

He would be partnering with Gunther to ensure that the screening of the film would be available to the on-demand community. The film is expected to be broadcasted on the 31st of December. It would be telecasted as part of the PBS World Channel/America ReFramed series. The film would be released on DVD digitally in 2014.

I immediately knew that The New Public could be used as a useful tool for teachers and the education community in general. The film has immense potential in creating awareness among teachers and students. The film is emotionally engaging despite its complex story. Finally, The New Public is being recognized among the film fraternity”, Gunther added.

Kino Lorber has done the world an immense favour by directing a film like this and it is up to the audience to spread the word about the film”, Elizabeth Sheldon, the Vice President of Kino Lorber Inc. said.
