The UK offices of Ghost Games, the studio who had developed last year’s Need for Speed Rivals, have been hit by layoffs according to a report.
According to an anonymous source, publisher Electronic Arts has fired contractors and has advised the full-time regular staff that they can accept compensation or begin work on a brand new project in development at Visceral Games. The report claims that Visceral – best known for its work on the Dead Space Series – is functioning on a “police-themed” Battlefield instalment code-named Havana which is due for a release later this year.
And also an untitled Need for Speed game has also been put to hold, according to reports. The reason for this is also believed to be the untimely layoffs.
