NBA Google Glass: NBA Games To Be Played Using Google Glass

A new trend for NBA games is coming soon, The NBA Google Glass, as the Sacramento Kings are in the full mood to use Google Glass during one of their games.

The players will be using Google glass and technology from CrowdOptic to broadcast exactly what they’re seeing as part of the NBA game experience. Also there are some extra participants in the broadcasting including game’s announcers, the Kings’ mascot, and the team’s dancers.

And also the viewer will only be able to see he game from the perspective of others watching it. This move is somewhat similar to an event organised at Stanford University, with a partnership of CrowdOptic, which also had some members donning Google Glass – including members of the Stanford Band.

“The investment is for the long-term, and it’s the very first footage anyone has so close to the game,” said CrowdOptic’s Jim Kovach, head of business development, in an interview with ABC News. “There really is a strong interest in building this out.”
