Monster Hunter Frontier G – the PC, PS3, Vita, Wii U and Xbox 360 MMORPG – might release in countries aside from Japan, as per Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono. In an interview to a Japanese tabloid, Ono said the reason Capcom has ported the game to numerous platforms, including Vita, is because it might be on the way to other territories.
“The reason why we’ve increased our support for several hardware platforms is because we’ve our sights set on distributing services for this game in the future outside Japan,” he said.
Although “outside Japan” may mean anyplace, but certain other comments suggest Capcom’s hardware drive is geared towards the west.
It seems like the plans are still solely tentative at this time, and in a statement, a Capcom representative reiterated that no announcement had been made concerning western release.
Let’s wait and see whether the news brings in some happiness to the western gamers or not.
