Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra urged his teammates to give it their best against Tottenham, this weekend. The club are definitely in the hunt for the title despite their sluggish start.
United’s win against Arsenal before the Internation break proved to be a vital one. However, their draw against Cardiff last weekend was disappointing. They threw away the lead twice and settled for a draw.
Evra admits that United have not threatened the top four teams yet and it is indeed a source of frustration.
“We want to keep winning. We can’t wait for the game against Spurs. We cannot afford to lose the game.
Tottenham is a big game and I am sure the players would step up to it. We know we had a bad start, and we are working hard. David Moyes has all our trust”, Evra said after the thumping win against Bayer Leverkusen.
“I play for Manchester United and every year is a challenge. I won’t play for the club if I don’t believe in them. I trust my teammates, the manager and myself. Everything else is secondary. We have strong characters in the team. We need to show our love for the team by gaining respect”, he added.
