The writer of “We’re The Millers”, Sean Anders, of “Sex Drive” fame, has joint the cast and crew of “Horrible Bosses” for their next venture. The spot for the director was vacant for a while when the original director, Seth Gordon dropped out. The reason for Seth’s dropout is believed to have been issues with the scheduling. The Identity Thief director was unable to commit to the autumn shooting date due to his work on ABC television comedy, The Goldbergs and several other unnamed projects.
Much is expected from the new director as his track record seems to be very consistent. Sean Anders hasn’t given a million plots but he has his fair share of movies. Ranging from “Never Been Thawed”, through “The Hot Tub Machine”, right down to “We’re The Millers”. The writer cum director, brother of actress Andrea Anders was also the director of “That’s My Boy”, that got a strong 5.5. on IMDb. The 2012 release starred Adam Sandler in the lead along with Leighton Meester. The movie won the People’s choice Award for the Favourite Comedic Actor.
Considering the fact that the first part was nominated for the Best Comedy Film under the Critic’s Choice awards in 2011, much is expected an d awaited of the second part. Although it won only two awards, it was definetly nominated for quite a number of categories. The plot from the movie seemed to be quite the simple yarn, three friends who conspired to kill their bosses because they realized that they were standing in their paths towards happiness. It seems pretty precedented that the sequel would also follow the same. What the audience shall be anxious about is the new twists and turns that the characters and the stories would take. Also, every director brings something new to every franchise, what will Sean bring?
