Michael Jordan hit the front pages when he said that he could defeat LeBron James 1-on-1 in his prime, during an interview with ESPN. In the same interview, he also shared the story of his schooling at his camps. O.J. Mayo was his teacher in high school at that point of time. Larry Brown sports have found a video of Jordan against Mayo at the 2006 camp. According to them, this was what happened.
“In the video, the first clip is from a game Jordan played in front of the whole camp. After that clip, there comes four highlights from the game where Jordan taught Mayo the lesson. You can see Jordan beat Mayo in every way possible in the game.”
Mayo explained his side of the story once the news broke out. He tweeted,

Maya explained why he challenged the NBA legend. “I had the mentality that I had nothing to lose. And, Micheal did what he did. There is no shame in losing to the G.O.A.T.”
