Mark Romanek is a director of whom we have loads to talk about. It took eight years for him to direct 2010’s “Never Let Me Go” after his directorial debut “One Hour Photo” and we’ve been waiting since for his next contribution to the screens. He was associated with Disney’s “Cinderella” for a time, before controversies over money and creativity took a clash.
But the director is back with his next project which sounds much more exciting and interesting and will find him working with an actor who has no issues with his script.
According to Variety, Romanek will direct Casey Affleck in “Boston Strangler.” The actor first became attached the project just over a year ago, the script approved by Chuck Maclean boasts a detective who was part of the Strangler Squad tasked with bringing down the titular serial killer of women, who notched at least 13 victims in the 1960s. The movie resembles the neighborhood of “Zodiac” or “Seven,”
Unfortunately there was no word yet on when it might shoot, but the project is taken care by the Warner Bros. which promises for a good momentum on the film.
