There were a few rumors which were spotted around the web about director Marc Webb wont be heading Amazing Spider. But not the rumors have been cleared has Webb has agreed for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which is scheduled to in May 2016.
It was officially announced by Sony that Webb will be heading the third sequel of Amazing Spider-Man.
It is also been said that co-writer Alex Kurtzman will direct the planned Venom film, which he’s been planning with Roberto Orci and Ed Solomon. It has also been spotted that Drew Goddard has been appointed as the villain for The Sinister Six, with an eye to potentially direct it. “We are expanding the Spider-Man universe into The Sinister Six and Venom, so that we have Spider-Man movies every year,” studio boss Amy Pascal tells the trade magazine.
Webb’s To-do list would be filled with Spider-Man until at least 2016, with the third film set for May 27 over here and the fourth dated for May 4, 2018.
Sony has boosted its marketing strategies by releasing new trailers and web-based video games. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits the screens on April 18.
