Before Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs, the Fast & Furious franchise was in a state of dilemma and confusion when it came to casting the lead members. During the pre-production of “The fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift”, neither Vin Diesel nor Paul signed the film. Universal Pictures turned to Lucas Black at the point of time. Unsurprisingly, that was the only movie featuring Lucas Black in the entire franchise. Diesel and Walker returned to the series in 2009 and have been there on the series ever since. Some may consider the Alabama-born actor, Black, a little unfortunate but that’s the way the film industry works. In a new turn of events, Black has announced that he would make a come-back and that too, in a huge way. The Tokyo drift star played a character named Sean Boswell. He is expected star in James Wan’s Fast and Furious. The news doesn’t stop there. The actor has signed on for at least the next three movies with the franchise. This means that he would be a part of Fast & Furious 8 and 9 for sure. The script for the next sequel is anybody’s guess. Black’s introduction into the plot and the cast remains to be a secret and a well maintained one, as of now.
Sean Boswell was portrayed as a lonely 17 year old street racer who is forced to move to Japan from the United States of America. This is done so that he lives with his father in Japan. Later, he becomes good friends with Han ( a member in Dominic Toretto’s group). Vin Diesel’s cameo appearance in the movie as Dominic reintroduces his character to the franchise. However, Boswell has no connection with him, otherwise.
The film’s first photo showed that the production of Fast & Furious 7 is already underway with the expected stars signed on.
Universal Pictures has announced that the movie would hit the theaters on the 11th of July, 2014. This is just a little more than a year of the release of Fast & Furious 6.
